Absolutely incredible

Amazing hosts in a great tranquil location close to nearby towns and a drive away from the beach. Lovely pool, wine cellar and area for kids to play in. A hidden gem.

Perfect

We have never returned to a holiday rental before, and in fact I have never written a review before, but Domaine St Ferreol is really lovely. It is big enough that you can have some privacy and peace and quiet, but it is contained enough that children can meet each other and play in a very safe and rural environment. We love this area of France, and St Ferreol is perfectly situated - surrounded by vineyards about 20 mins south to get to the Mediterranean, and 30 mins north to get to hills, medieval villages and fantastic rivers for canoeing and / or swimming in. Pezanas is about 10 mins away and is a beautiful, historic town, and further afield are places like Carcassone, the Canal du Midi, Montpellier and the Camargue. It is close to an autoroute to allow easy access to all these areas, but not close enough that the peace is spoilt! Jorje and Ania are perfect hosts, and their wine-tasting evening is not to be missed. We will definitely be back in the future...

The perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries.

This was our seventh or possibly eight trip to St Ferreol. We discovered it by chance many years ago and it has become a regular place to go for a relaxing week. Jorje and Anja are fantastic hosts. They are welcoming and always available to give advice about the things to do in the area. We've stayed in most of the gites. All that we have used are finished to a very high standard. Le Caveau is very spacious and with a downstairs bedroom and shower room suited the older members of our party. It opens out on to the 'walled' garden of the estate and after an exhausting day lying at the pool it was very pleasant to wander through the lavender and perhaps pick a few of the cherries. The enclosed area opening into the garden was ideal for our party of eight to sit around barbecuing, eating and drinking some of the fine local wines. The estate is 10-15 minutes drive from Pezenas, which is well worth a visit. It's close enough to drive to in the morning for fresh croissants, and various other breads which the excellent bakeries produce. The estate is surrounded by vineyards, and on many occasions we have walked through them on a warm summer evening to watch the sun go down. The grounds are very well maintained. There is plenty of space. We have never had the impression of the place being busy, even when all the gites were occupied. Hopefully this won't be our last visit to St Ferreol.

A Millionaire's holiday

We were lucky enough to stay at Le Caveau the end of May this year, we also hired Chez Pierre for our party, St Ferreol offers up to 6 accommodation options so you could have lots of families enjoying their holidays together. Le Caveau is an absolutely delightful home, really spacious and open plan for the 5 of us. It is home from home and every need has been thought about to make your stay very comfortable, it is five star accommodation! That is just the beginning of the story... the gardens, the middle of the story are just too beautiful to describe or capture in a picture, they would not be out of place in a luxury garden magazine, so many nice places to sit, hide or relax, ponder and take in their beauty and the many flowers. Finally the pool is the jewel in the crown, as we sat around discussing how amazing the whole experience was there was one comment that described this area - 'a millionaires experience' feeling the warm sun directly or enjoying through the palm trees, we spent many hours swimming, lounging and playing in paradise. The local area is a lovely too, a supermarket conveniently a 5 minute drive, white sandy beaches about 20 minutes and gorgeous harbours to enjoy delicious local fare. Historical villages, towns and cities or natural outdoor activities all on the doorstep. We had the best holiday ever staying in this historic luxury home culminating in wine tasting of Ania & Jorge's award winning Viognier, thank you so much and see you soon!!

A great example of millionaire's holiday.

The location is perfect, not too rural but very peaceful. The grounds were beautiful, the pool area felt like you were in a Caribbean paradise! Le Caveau had a very well maintained and wonderful garden and the kitchen / living room area was very spacious and had everything you needed to relax and enjoy. The owners are very very kind and helpful, they have very good recommendations for places to go and things to do. Stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely come back here again.

The 8 days holiday with my family exceeded ALL expectations!

The original Priory dating back to the 11th century contains the most charming Villas all tastefully planned and furnished to highest standard and fit for the most discerning of people. Everything and I mean everything is perfect - the extensive grounds and gardens - the large swimming pool and other recreation areas suit all ages - even an octogenarian who simply wants to take things easy. The owners, Jorges and Ania are so helpful in guiding you to the best restaurants, beaches and the many places of interest. They will also share their vast knowledge of beautiful wine produced from their own grape vines which surround the property. All I had to do was relax, enjoy the weather in what I described to my family is - PARADISE!

Zauberhafte historische Domaine zum Ausspannen und als Basis zur Erkundigung der Languedoc

Wir möchten uns hiermit ganz herzlich bei Ania und Jorje für ihre bewiesene Gastfreundschaft bedanken. Von der Domaine St. Ferreol aus haben wir Ende April die Region Languedoc erkundet. Die Domaine ist eine wahre Perle! Obwohl sie von der Autobahn aus in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen ist, zeichnet sich die Domaine durch eine wohltuende Abgeschiedenheit aus. Wir haben uns selbst als Reisende wie französische Landedelleute gefühlt, da die gesamt Anlage nur so von Geschichte und Würde strahlt. Diese Eindrücke wurden dann noch durch die liebevollen Erzählungen von Jorje und Ania gestärkt, die sich intensiv mit der wechselhaften Geschichte ihres Weinguts beschäftigt haben. Die zweite Passion der Besitzer ist der Weinbau, und gerne teilen sie ihr Insider-Wissen mit den Gästen, sei es während eines Besuchs im imposanten Weinkeller unter dem Hauptgebäude der Anlage oder während eines gemütlichen Gesprächs bei einem Gläschen Wein in einem der Gärten. Besser kann man wirklich nicht in die bezaubernde Welt von Südfrankreich eintauchen!!! Da unsere Reise noch in die Zeit der Vorsaison fiel, haben uns (einem Paar) Ania und Jorje ein Schlafzimmer der Villa Le Caveau zur Verfügung gestellt, die über 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Badezimmer und einen riesengroßen Aufenthaltsbereich mit praktisch eingerichteter Küche sowie direktem Zugang zum Bereich vor der Domaine verfügt. Gefrühstückt haben wir täglich auf unserer eigenen, von der Morgensonne beschienenen Terrasse, die auch einen Geheimzugang zu Anias liebevoll gepflegten Blumengarten verfügt. Anias liebevolle Hände spürt man auch in der Einrichtung der Villa, die bei allem modernen Komfort ihren historischen und ländlichen Charme behalten hat. Die Domaine Saint Ferreol ist sicher ein idealer Ort für einen gemütlichen und unkomplizierten Urlaub mit Familie bzw. Freunden. Wir können die Domaine St. Ferreol allen Lesern aus vollem Herzen empfehlen! In English First of all we would like to thank Ania and Jorje for their great hospitality. End of April we used their Domaine St. Ferreol as a base to explore the Languedoc region. The Domaine is a true pearl! Although it can be reached in minutes from the highway the Domaine is charming its guests by soothing seclusion and historical grandeur! We felt very much like French country noblemen throughout our stay. The second passion of Jorje and Ania is wine making and with pleasure they share their insider knowledge with guests, be it during a visit to the impressive wine cellar under the main building or over a glass of wine whilst sitting in one of the cosy gardens of the estate. There is truly no better way of diving as a tourist into the enchanting world of Southern France!!! As we visited Domaine St. Ferreol during early season Ania and Jorje prepared for us (a couple) generously a bedroom in the spacious Villa Le Caveau that offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a huge living & kitchen area with direct access to the area in front of the Domaine. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast on our own terrace in the gentle morning sun. Our terrace had a hidden entrance to Ania’s lovely flower garden. Ania’s loving care can be also felt in all the rooms of the villas which were upgraded to modern standards keeping their original historical, rural charm. We can give a full-hearted recommendation of Domaine Saint Ferreol as an ideal place for a cosy, uncomplicated holiday with family and/or friends.

Domaine Saint Ferreol: place for beautiful holidays in a French country style!

We stayed in Domaine St. Ferreol during our May trip to south of France. This is a place for everyone looking for tranquility, relaxation and cutting off from busy life & work. It is a beautiful, old domaine, one of these you could know from the romantic movies or French books, surrounded by vineyards and small villages. We stayed in a 3 bedrooms (and 2 bathrooms) apartment with a big and beautiful common space (ideal for spending evenings together) and well equipped kitchen. There is a small and private garden where we could enjoy our morning coffee. Very welcoming hosts, Jorje and Ania made our stay at Domaine St. Ferreol pleasurable and free of any hassle. Apart from running the guesthouse they produce great wines and can introduce you the world of wine making during a testing session in their wine cellar (impressive atmosphere with these huge Russian oak vine huge barrels and candlelight). Domaine is surrounded by a beautiful garden / park including picturesque flower garden and a fab swimming pool (must be beautiful in full summer!). The place is ideal for families, groups of friends but also couples (there is a one bedroom apartment too). It is very easy accessible by car. Free wi-fi. Very much recommended!

Relaxing to the sound of chicades

When you drive up the lane with vines and wild flowers on either side of you, you know your on holiday. As you drive in to the parking area your met by a huge set of gates, once those gates open you see the beautiful flowers and palm trees and the owners are there to meet you and show you to your "villa". The "real" owners then come and introduce themselves Barnie, Boris and Bonnie they are Jorje and Anias dogs who are as soft as tripe and will gladly escort you on any walks you may wish to take. The house was very spacious and extremely comfortable nice large bathrooms and bedrooms. Ania has decorated the houses beautifully and has made sure that you have everything in the kitchen that you could possibly need ( unless your a master chef contestant). We had our own garden area in which we could relax but we spent a lot of time in the main garden by the cool of the pond or down by the fantastic pool, where you can watch the swallows dipping into the pool if your lucky . We had a really relaxing time and Joje and Ania are there if you need anything,a good restaurant or a place to visit. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Unforgettable two weeks stay in Le Caveau and Le laurier for my big family!

Me and my family stayed with Ania and Jorje at Domaine Saint Ferréol two weeks during this July 2016. We had three villas. Le Caveau, Chez Pierre and Le Laurier. We had a wonderful time!! The hospitality, the villas that were so perfect and so lovely furnished and full equiped kitchens! It could not be better for this family. Le Caveau with a lovely large livingroom/kitchen direct from the parkinglane. Chez Pierre, lovely one room apartment and Le Laurier in the corner, so nice and practical with a terrace with barbeque. The whole garden and the park is beautiful and the poolarea unbelivable fantastic in a garden of itsown with safe gates! We had such a lovely time down there, swimming, playing and every morning "poolexerzise" led by Mollie 10 years old, very compitent and bossy with me, grandma. But it was good! Went to the beach ones but realized that it was much nicer at S Ferréol. We cooked at home in the well equiped kitchen and did a lot of barbecue on the terrace. I love cooking and to go to the small stores with fruit and vegitables and next with oisters and crevettes(shrimps) and the other with fantastic meet, cheese and everything you needed except milk. But Carrfoure were only some kilometers away. We went twice to eat in restaurent but we were so fotunate at Ferreol and with small children it was the best. We even had a birthdayparty in a beautiful part of the garden. Ania had laid a lovely table and then we ordered oisters , crevettes and crab via Ania and deliscieus Paella from a lady in Pauhlin. Lots of champagne and wine. My elder granddaughter had downloaded music so we even danced! I will never forget that night with the full moon hanging like a lamp over us. It was two fantastic weeks! Une magnifique région à explorer pour tous les family.For les enfants, il y a une grande variété d'activités de canoë dans les gorges, la planche à voile, voile, parapente, équitation sur la plage, parc aquatique Auqualand, Sigean Parc animalier, parc d'aventure d'escalade tyrolienne ainsi que le musée local du jouet à Pezenas et bonbons Haribo usine pour ne citer que quelques ..POUR toute la famille il y a beaucoup de sites intéressants à visiter dans la terre historique de l'Occitanie, châteaux cathares et maure, forts ruinés, Abbayes et cathédrales. Si vous voulez juste pour se détendre, nous sommes à quelques minutes en voiture des belles plages de sable fin de la Méditerranée à Marseillan, Agde et Valros. Un excellent endroit pour profiter du poisson frais et fruits de mer qui est abondante dans ce domaine. Bouzigues est la capitale de l'huître du sud de la France et offre une gamme spectaculaire de plats de fruits de mer frais des bateaux de pecheurs. Vous pouvez également visiter en bateau les lits de plus en plus moules et des huîtres qui se propagent à sinistrement dans la distance - une occasion merveilleuse photo plein de choses à voir et à faire ou tout simplement se détendre et se détendre au Domaine tout en bénéficiant d'une bouteille de notre primé Viognier!.
