Book it..... you won't regret it!
Our family stayed here in August 2022 and we just loved it! On arrival, we received the warmest welcome from our host Alan and he was more than helpful when we needed any assistance, both before we arrived, and while we were there. It is such a roomy villa with so much chill out space for any family to spread out. The pool was spotless and a really decent size. The villa is in a fantastic location for sight seeing and the snooker table provided an opportunity for some enjoyable family time. 'Villa Duas Vistas' lived up to all our expectations and ticked all the boxes for us!

Perfect place for a family break
You would be hard pushed to find a better place to stay than this beautiful villa. Situated just outside Mafra it is incredibly spacious and full of charm. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out, there are three double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is plenty of entertainment with a fabulous swimming pool and pool table. We loved the upstairs balcony that catches the evening sunshine. There are some great beaches nearby, and loads to explore in nearby Mafra, Sintra and Lisbon.
Our hosts were fantastic, they gave us a warm welcome and sorted out a booking error that I had made without batting an eyelid !
This is easily one of the best places we have stayed.

Perfekte Ferienvilla mit Pool für Familien
Ein fantastischer Ort – perfekt für einen Familienurlaub! Das Haus ist ideal für Familien und verfügt über einen tollen Pool mit Außenanlagen und alles was man für einen Urlaub mit Kindern benötigt.
In der Nähe sind - mit wenigen Autominuten erreichbar - die wundervolle Kleinstadt Mafra mit einem tollen Palast und der Bade- und Surfort Ericeira. Es gibt wundervolle Strände in der Nähe wie z.B. Foz do Lizandro und São Julião.
Im Haus ist alles vorhanden von einer Waschmaschine, einer gut ausgestatteten Küche bis hin zu einem Trampolin, einem Billardtisch und einer Hängematte. Der Stil des Hauses ist rustikal, aber total o.k. Es passt sich wunderbar in die Gegend ein und man hat schnell den Eindruck hier zu Hause zu sein.
In der näheren Umgebung kann man super Mountain-Bike oder Gravel-Bike fahren. Tipp: das Flußbett des Rio Lizandro ist traumhaft. Ob mit dem Bike oder zu Fuß - auf jeden Fall eine Idylle zum Abschalten.
Wer nicht nur auf dem großen Gelände des Hauses chillen möchte oder die wundervollen Sonnenuntergänge von einer der Balkone bewundern will, kommt mit Tagesausflügen z.B. nach Sintra mit seinem wundervollen Palast (echter Tipp für wenig Trubel und viel zu sehen: der Parque e Palácio de Monserrate) und natürlich nach Lissabon auf seine Kosten.
Ein besonderer Tipp der freundlichen und jederzeit hilfsbereiten Gastgeber war Óbidos. Dort gibt es eine Festung, die ein komplettes Dorf mit wundervollen Restaurants, Cafes und kleinen Geschäften umschließt. von dort ist man in ca. 15min auch an einem wunderschönen Lagunenstrand.
Alle Tagesausflüge sind zwischen 30-60min Fahrtzeit völlig entspannt.
Wir hatten als Familie mit 2 Kindern viel Spaß und Erholung in der Villa Duas Vistas. Der Ausblick aufs Meer und das wundervolle Sintra, sind Extras an die man sich in wenigen Tagen schnell gewöhnt.
A fantastic place - perfect for a family vacation! The house is ideal for families and has a great pool with outdoor facilities and everything you need for a vacation with children.
Nearby - only a few minutes by car - are the wonderful small town of Mafra with a great palace and the bathing and surfing resort of Ericeira. There are wonderful beaches nearby such as Foz do Lizandro and São Julião.
In the house everything is available from a washing machine, a well equipped kitchen to a trampoline, a pool table and a hammock. The style of the house is rustic, but totally o.k. It fits perfectly into the area and you quickly get the impression to be at home here.
In the nearer surroundings you can ride a super mountain bike or a gravel bike. Tip: the river bed of the Rio Lizandro is fantastic. Whether by bike or on foot - in any case an idyll to relax.
If you don't want to just chill out on the large grounds of the house or admire the wonderful sunsets from one of the balconies, day trips to e.g. Sintra with its wonderful palace (real tip for little hustle and bustle and lots to see: the Parque e Palácio de Monserrate) and of course to Lisbon are at your expense.
A special tip from the friendly and always helpful hosts was Óbidos. there is a fortress, which encloses a complete village with wonderful restaurants, cafes and small stores. from there you can also reach a beautiful lagoon beach in about 15min.
All day trips are completely relaxed between 30-60min driving time.
We had a lot of fun and relaxation as a family with 2 children in the Villa Duas Vistas. The view of the sea and the wonderful Sintra, are extras you get used to within a few days.

Amazing and Sparkling Clean
Helga and Alan are building a little palace here. More than enough room for the 5 of us. We loved the little stone oven and bbq; the pool was great. Their description is spot on. They responded quickly to our messages and the place was sparkling clean. Can definitely recommend!

Outstanding hospitality
Everything was great! First of all, very big thank you to Helga and Alan for their welcome (welcome basket was very well appreciated). The communication was easy; very reactive and friendly owners. The house itself is very nice and big; you feel like at home. Plenty of places to sit down and relax. The garden, the warm swimming pool ( kept warm with a protection you put during the night), the terrace and the pool table area with a nice cocktail to make a very successful stay. The location of the house allows to visit all the nice places of the area: Ericeira, Mafra, Obidos, Lisboa, Sintra, Cascais,... We would definitely recommend that house.

Wonderful holiday
We stayed at this lovely house for 12 days. We had a wonderful holiday. The house itself is great, very spacious with many different areas to sit out (or in!). Bedrooms are large with comfy beds and even a choice of pillows! The swimming pool area is stunning and was a hit with us all. Spent many an hour in the water or enjoying the spectacular views from the lounge area. The pool table was also a great source of entertainment.
The house was very clean and well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The basket of food on arrival was well received. The owner, Alan, was extremely helpful and provided a complete info pack before we arrived.
From the house we walked to the fort and Mafra, Sintra and Ericeria are within easy reach by car. The air museum near Mafra was well worth a visit. Lisbon is 35 mins away, we visited twice! All in all, would highly recommend this house.

Wonderful spacious villa
We had a wonderful week staying at this beautiful villa. It was really spacious with 2 kitchens and 2 living/seating areas with great wifi, Netflix etc for our teenagers, not forgetting the pool table as well. The pool area was lovely with plenty of seating and it was great to have a pool big enough for swimming in unlike many holiday properties. The views were stunning both out to countryside and sea - there are 3 terraces on different levels and we enjoyed them all. The supermarket is less than 10 minutes away and beach about 10-15 as well. The nearest resort of Ericeira was great - lively in a tasteful way and good for all ages - lovely restaurants and great surf bars too. We had such a relaxing break - hosts are really friendly and helpful and we certainly hope to return again.

Great location!
This was our first visit to the region as we normally stay in the Algarve and we were very pleasantly surprised with how much there is to do in the area. Villa Duas Vistas is a well equipped, spacious and lovely house with a perfect sized pool and much to our children's delight, even a trampoline! The location is ideal, in our week long stay the boys had surf lessons at Foz de Lizandro, just a 10 min drive away, we visted magical Sintra only 40 mins away and spent a day in Lisbon that was equally accessible. Alan and his family were always on hand to offer help and advice and were very welcoming. A great holiday all round!

Excellent
From beginning to end we had an excellent stay at Helga's home. Everything in the house is made to help relax, the kids loved it and we did too. The pool is the place to be when it's hot and when it was cooler we played pool in the game room and just chilled out for the whole week.
The area is beautiful and the views from the house are impressive too, the sunsets gorgeous, the beaches not far and the shops are about 5 minutes away. We had such a lovely week and will remember this holiday for some time to come. We couldn't have asked for better within our budget!!!

Absolutely fantastic!
We stayed at Helga and Alan’s place for a week and we had simply the best time ever! So much fun for the 2 boys (aged 6 and 13) to have that it was late bedtimes every evening!!
The house is excellent with 2 very well stocked kitchens, perfect for creating a feast!
Alan’s communication with me was fab and he made us feel very welcome from the moment the booking was confirmed. Thank you Alan! 😎
We got flights into Lisbon which is 30 minutes (max!) away from the house and peace and relaxation!
If you’re looking for a fun but chilled holiday, suitable for the stressed looking to unwind, then look no further! Book today (although not when we’d like to as we’re definitely coming again!!) !!!
