Petit paradis en Italie
Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans cet havre de paix. L'endroit est calme et paisible pour les parents et avec plein de distractions pour les enfants. Le propriétaire Paolo est un personnage jovial et chaleureux et son vin gagne à être connu. La propriété étant en plein milieu de la toscane, nous avons pu visiter les grands sites (Florence, Pise, Sienne) et la campagne toscane. L'endroit étant bien desservi par les trains régionaux, nous avons pu éviter de nombreux frais relatif aux parkings exorbitants de certaines villes toscanes. Merci encore à Paolo pour ces vacances formidables. Nous le conseillons à tous les amoureux de la vrai campagne italienne et nous n'avons qu'une hâte, c'est d'y retourner au plus vite.

Had an excellent time
Lovely accommodation handy for the local town useful railway service to Siena and Florence. Very pleasant hosts who gave us a very illuminating tour of his wine and olive producing activities , which we were able to sample. New swimming pool where much time was spent relaxing, and generally taking it easy . Would heartily recommend

Relaxing farm location with friendly and helpful owners.
Il Granaio is a tastefully renovated farm building which has retained much of its Tuscan charm. At the time of our visit there were five occupied properties on the site. We were a little worried beforehand that this may create overcrowding in the shared areas but our fears were unfounded. The atmosphere of the farm was friendly without being intrusive and the owners were on hand to help with recommendations, advice on nearby locations, book tickets etc. The owners farm the land surrounding the property and the wine they produce (both red and white) is delicious. A bottle of the white was there on arrival for us to sample along with some home pressed olive oil. We had a lovely week and found it a good base for exploring the region by car. The train station in Castelfiorentino is nearby with regular trains to Florence and Sienna.

Serene holiday in Tuscany
Just returned from very tranquil stay at Il Petriccio and whole party loved holiday, accommodation and is ideal location for visitng Tuscan attractions, Florence & Siena. Owners Paolo and wife Francesca very accommodating and happy to help with any questions / advice, terrific wine produced on the winery at Il Petriccio especiially their own Vin Santo and Grappa. The rooms were clean and spacious, decorated in traditional Tuscan style. Grocery store near where good selction of local profuce. Restaurants recommended to us by Paolo & Francesca definitely worth a visit. Whatever we needed, Paolo and Francesca were there to accommodate us. Tremendous hosts, friendly, attentive and very helpful! Enjoyed swimming pool at end of warm days visitng tourist attractions, spacious outdoor dining and seating area, There are also many places to drive to and visit nearby. We took day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Centraldo Alto and Florence. Worthy of a return visit.

Beautiful house in a good location
The owner was very helpful and welcoming, and his wine from his farm was delicious and very reasonably priced. The pictures are very reflective of the actual property, which is beautifully kept and in very good condition. All of the rooms in the house were spacious and light and in a very tasteful, traditional style. There was six of us staying there and we were more than comfortable. The outdoor areas were our highlight, we were lucky enough to be the only ones staying at any of properties the week we went so we had the pool and the outdoor area to ourselves. The house is ideally situated for access to Pisa, Florence and Lucca as well as many other smaller local towns. You would need a car as the walk to the train station in town would be quite a walk. Castelfiorentino was a lovely little town with supermarkets, gelaterias and a couple of ristorantes/pizzerias. We went to a restaurant that the owner had recommended on his welcome sheet which had fabulous food and was well enjoyed by all of us - so would definitely recommend that too (the one with the fish recommended). Would also recommend the near by town of San Gimignano, which is a beautiful medieval town. We all very much enjoyed our holiday and this beautiful house played a large part in that, would definitely recommend it.

Tranquility in Tuscany
As well as being in one of the most beautiful landscaped regions on earth, Il Petriccio is truly an unforgettable place to stay! Tranquil and unassuming. Although we are seasoned travelers to Florence, it wasn't only until we stayed at Il Petriccio in the countryside of Florence, that we realized a true Tuscan experience. We were warmly greeted when we arrived at Il Petriccio by the owners Paolo and his lovely wife Francesca. We stayed for one week in the Granaio apartment, which included a bottle of the white wine that was made from the winery on the premises as a gift from the hosts. When you run out of wine, and you will because it is a really great wine, there is more available to purchase along with their delicious olive oil and vinegar, as well as an amazing Vin Santo you should not miss. The apartment was beautiful and very charming. The rooms were clean and spacious, decorated in traditional timeless Tuscany style with original flooring, which added to the whole Tuscan experience. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook and serve some if not all of your meals. Since there was easy access to some great grocery stores, we enjoyed shopping for fresh food, and preparing some of our meals. There are also some great restaurants that came recommended by the owners. Whatever we needed, Paolo and Francesca were there to accommodate us. They were fantastic hosts, friendly, attentive and very helpful! Along with a great swimming pool, an outdoor dining and seating area, we enjoyed a tour the grounds where we saw the vineyards, olive trees and farmland. The landscaping and views were breathtaking, clearly what you expect when you think of Tuscany. There are also many places to drive to and visit nearby. We took day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, and of course Florence, all with amazing restaurants! Also if you are up for outlet shopping, it’s all a drive away. Perfect in every aspect. This was truly an amazing Tuscan experience and cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend this property.

Spectacular stay in Tuscany
Amazing vacation place for people who loves and appreciate the peace and quite of the sountryside. Depped in the heart of tuscany, Fattoria il Petriccio is near to cyties like Florence and Siena, and also near to many sites of historical interest. The owner Paolo is always very kind and helpful. The appartment was very clean and nicely furnished. There are many places where you can relax and enjoy nature, near the swimming pool or just under a chestnut tree
