Brand new, concrete (looks like log cabin) construction. Located above the banks of Rio Celeste near waterfalls and national park. Also Nearby: chocolate farm, coffee farm, pineapple farm, Rio Celeste Hideaway Resort, horseback riding, nature hikes including birds, sloths, insect, frogs, medicinal plants and night hikes. Property located on the edge of forest with an abundance of nature onsite including monkeys, parrots, toucans and more. Private home-not shared. Canadian owners live nearby in case of any issues but will leave you alone in privacy! Full kitchen including some food items for breakfast and some refreshments. Full laundry complete with Tide pods.

Great stay in new place
Rick and Ashley were great. Lots of attention to details and plans to make more changes to improve a nice place. Snacks, beverages, etc an added plus. Very quiet area close to the national park and two towns. Lots of wildlife and the four of us had a very nice stay

Magnifique endroit Énergisant !
À voir, Situé À Rio Celeste, dans le Parque Nacional Volcan Tenorio . Rick et Ashley on créer Un Très bel endroit, accueillant , propre et lits comfortables ,Idéal pour relaxer et ceux qui aime la marche en sentier, et voir la rivière Turquoise, à proximité visite d’une ferme à café , restaurants , etc… je recommande.

Fantastic getaway!
We spent two days in this beautiful place surrounded by mother nature at her best. The owners are a great couple and insure that all is in order to make your stay a memorable one for sure! The fridge was well stocked for a couple breakfast plus extras!
The hiking trails are awesome ,an excellent cardio workout! At times the scenery was breathtaking!
There are many fine restaurants and we had a five star meal! Looking forward to checking out a few more when we go back in February for another “get away! “

Excellent Rainfirest Getawsy
Had a great time staying at Rick and Ashley's cabin. The house had everything you could possibly need for a short or long term stay. Went for a girls weekend and 6 of us loved our stay. The house comfortable and very nicely decorated. It is fully stocked with everything you could need including soap, shampoo conditioner. Super clean with drinkable spring water. If looking for a true rainforest experience close to the beautiful Rio Celeste trails and waterfall then I highly recommend. We were also lucky enough to see a Tapir which is extremely rare. It was raining (expected its a rainforest) so picture not great. Rick and Ashley were great hosts! I will be returning again for sure.

Everything you need and more!
My friend and I rented Casa Familia for the weekend so we could check out Rio Celeste and explore other Bijagua landmarks. The cabina was perfect for our needs. The kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms have all the basics covered, PLUS some very special extras… including a few food and beverage essentials that the hosts stock for guests. Since it took us a minute to get to the market, we were very appreciative to have breakfast, snacks and coffee already on hand. The beds, pillows and sheets were comfortable and the ceiling fan provided plenty of air for us to sleep without opening the windows. But I did check and all the windows have screens, if we’d wanted the cool night air without the bugs. The closet units have room for both hanging and folded clothing (with lots of hangers). The bathrooms have good light and nice mirrors. The showers are spacious, have good water pressure and temperature control. There are extra towels and blankets in each room if needed AND there’s a full-length mirror in the hallway (yay!!). Overall, we were super happy with this rental and will definitely come back to stay here again.

Excellent Stay!!
If you haven’t been to Rio Celeste and surrounding areas in Costa Rica then go and Stay at this amazing cabin! The location is awesome with good hiking trails to the water, on their property. Nature lovers will appreciate the birds and gorgeous gardens outside the front door ! The beds and pillows are son comfortable- something I don’t often say! Casa Familia Rio Celeste has all that you and your family need! Plus there were so many thoughtful touches like spices for cooking, coffee and milks, some yummy snacks and adult beverages and more! Thank you Rick and Ashley for a great three days! We will be back! Pura Vida! 🇨🇷

Amazing oasis
This cabana was the perfect place to stay to relax and take in the beautiful area. There is so much to do and the cabana has everything you would ever need. We highly recommend to anyone, couple or family . The hosts have a guide of what is recommended in the area . We did tube rafting, hike to a waterfall at the national park and had the wood fired pizza at the end of the road. We can’t wait to come back. The cabana is fully stocked with soaps and shampoo and anything you may need. Come check it out!

Great visits
Great place, great host and hostess! My friends brought me here as part of my first Costa Rican experience. I loved being up in the mountains but do bring a light jacket just in case. The beds were comfy, and the amenities plenty. We saw many species of birds and some white-faced monkeys. Great place!

Fantastic experience at Casa Familia Rio Celeste
My wife and I stayed at Casa Familia on our trip to Rio Celeste, what a fantastic experience. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the house was super comfortable and clean. It had everything you could need, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Local chocolates waiting for us on the bed, and a well stocked kitchen with fresh eggs, as well as coffee, teas and snacks.
As great as the the inside of the house was, it was outside where the trip got really special. A myriad of beautiful birds came to visit the feeder outside. A pair of Keen Billed Toucans were daily visitors, along with several Aracaris. Beautiful Oropendolas, woodpeckers, and other colorful birds were always there, just outside the window. The best part is there is a great hiking trail right behind the property. A nice hike down the hill brings you to a trail that runs through the jungle along the river. And since it is accessed from the property it was like our own private stretch of Rio Celeste. The hosts provided helpful touches here as well, including bug spray and even dry bags to keep our phones safe.
This is such a beautiful area of Costa Rica and staying at Casa Familia Rio Celeste was a wonderful way to experience it.

Cozy cabin in Spectacular Area
This well stocked, well appointed and well decorated cabin is located in a perfect location for those who plan to visit Rio Celeste. First, there is a trail right on the cabin property directly to Rio Celeste where you are likely to have this part of the river all to yourself. Second, you are maybe 1-1/2 to 2 miles from the National Park and trail to the waterfall. Third, there are wonderful places to eat and drink very close to the cabin. The owners do a great job maintaining their house book and it gives a list of where to eat and drink and how to get to each place. You'll get a real jungle experience at Casa Familia. We'll definitely be back.
