We had a lovely weekend stay at the Old Chapel School House which was perfect for 4 of us plus a 1 year old. The house has wonderful views in a quiet but close to town location. Inside is immaculately clean and has been refurbished beautifully, while still retaining lots of charm and character. Owner Shirley was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. There are all the facilities you would need and baby equipment, including stair gates upstairs and down. The bedrooms were both a good size with very comfortable beds. We will definitely book again and would highly recommend it to others. Shirley even gave us some seeds from her fabulous garden to take home!

Shirley was brilliant in all our communications, and really friendly once we arrived - the welcome pack was much appreciated. Our stay at The Old Chapel couldn't have gone any better, with ample parking for our 2 cars out front on the quiet street, sheep and hens strolling round the field that offered an interesting view - all with no noise. A perfect place for visiting West Yorkshire, with Todmorden a short walk away, Hebden Bridge a short drive or bus ride away, and the Yorkshire Moors beckoning just beyond the back of the house. All in all a great place, with a great host and we would highly recommend. Thank you Shirley.

Convenient location with easy walk to shops and amazing Markets both covered and outdoor. Regular local bus service passes the door. Quiet area with attractive views across the valley. Todmorden Railway and Bus stations gives good links to Manchester, Halifax and Leeds. Shirley was most welcoming and nothing seemed to much trouble to ensure we had the perfect stay. The welcome pack and inventory was the best ever. After the constraints of the present Pandemic are behind us we'll certainly return.

This is our second time now stopping in this lovely cottage, it's in a perfect and peaceful location with a lovely view, the owners are on hand if needed and very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be stopping again.

We were very impressed with the cottage. All the rooms were very comfortable and they were nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery and everything we needed was there. We would highly recommend this cottage, as the views were magnificent and it was on a bus route too, not far from the town of Todmorden. Alll in all a perfect place to stay.

We would highly recommend this accommodation. The owners were very welcoming; the cottage very comfortable, clean and modernised very sensitively. Excellent views, easy walk to town centre but very good access to buses if needed. Ideal base for all ages.

Jane met us and showed us around the exceptionally well equipped two bedroom house. She left us a “welcome pack” of tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, biscuits, etc., and the hens on the small holding opposite provided some fresh eggs! The house comfortably holds four people, though there were only three of us on this occasion. We had a busy weekend arranged in Todmorden so we made use of the house only at either ends of the day, but it was a super place to return to. The centre of Todmorden is about a 10 minute walk away. The house is very quiet, off the main road and up a hill. It’s the best house of its type that I’ve ever stayed in by a long way. We all loved it and can thoroughly recommend it.

Another warm welcome from Shirley and Jane - such a great location for walking or city visits and the house has every comfort.

We have just returned after 2 nights at this very cosy home. Met by Shirley who was very helpful and accommodating. Everything that was needed was in place. Our 8 year old granddaughter loved climbing up into her "den" 🙂 Beautiful views across the valley, local shops just a 10 minute walk away. We hope to return.
