We have been referred to Paola & Riccardo's agriturismo by our friend who lives in Florence. I started the search for accommodation in Tuscany several months before our vacation and looked through tens or even hundreds of similar vacation properties. After careful filtering, Agriturismo Annita was still on top of the list. Everything was great about it: affordability, location, amenities, owners. My communications with Paola continued over several months, and she was always kindly and patiently replying to my multiple questions and requests to help with visit planning. And, as a result, we had a truly wonderful and incredibly fulfilling Tuscan vacation. The three of us stayed in apartment Belvedere and our friends (a married couple) stayed in Le Logge. This was a very good combination because Le Logge has a wonderful patio where we had our dinners. We also saw inside the remaining apartment - Tramonto - which looked very good. Our 2 bdr/2 bath (with a large family/dining room) apartment Belvedere had everything we needed and everything worked well. It was squeaky clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and quality antique furniture. The welcome kit is also incredible - it includes wine, olive oil, pasta, many other things alongside wonderful bath accessories. We swam in the a pool in June - every day!!! Paola, Riccardo, and Francesco have become our friends - we were invited to tasting of their wines, a post dinner cake, and had very warm and interesting conversations. All our questions and requests were answered immediately and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing and warm, perfect for vacation. On one occasion, Paola actually took the same bus to Florence as we did, and gave us directions in the city after we arrived to SMN station. Over our short stay in Chianti, Paola helped us a lot with many useful suggestions (directions, places, restaurants, shopping): we are very grateful for that. Based on Paola's recommendation, we went to the close by restaurant La Fattoria for dinner one night and it was very good - I reviewed it on TA. To avoid parking troubles, we got to Florence in two different ways: on Saturday, we took a direct bus from the stop nearby the Agriturismo, and on Sunday, when the direct bus doesn't come too often, we drove to Galluzzo and parked next to roundabout at the exit/end from SR2 in a very large free parking (on Via Cassia). This worked very well. Being strategically located close to SR2 and motorway Firenze-Siena, we also used our car a lot and visited quite a lot of great places: Monteriggione, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, and more! The surroundings of Agriturismo Annita are as picturesque as they can be: it is the real heart of Chianti with the lash green rolling hills, grape vines and olive trees everywhere. Our teenage daughter called them "a living painting". We had our runs in the mornings and the weather was cool, refreshing, and stimulating in the middle of June. Bring a bug spray if you plan to eat outside. Bravo, bellissimo, and thank you so very much, Paola, Riccardo, and Francesco!
