Très bon acceuil, bonne organisation, le gîte était propre et environnement très reposant. Super pour un week end détente.

Ce gite est aménagé avec goùt par les jeunes propriétaires. Nous avons notamment adoré la chambre cabane prévue pour deux enfants à l'étage. La cuisine est fonctionnelle, et propose un petit stock d'épicerie de base bien agréable à l'arrivée.Vous pouvez réserver votre pain frais, qui vous sera déposé le matin. L'espace clos de 400 m carrés autour du gite est bien agréable pour les propriétaires d'animaux. La pature voisine propose une aire de jeux où les enfants pourront s'en donner à coeur joie, sous le regard des vaches et des moutons voisins. Dans les environs, de belles balades à faire, de bons petits restos et la Belgique toute proche vous permettront d'agréables sorties. Bref un bon bol d'air dans un endroit charmant !

We stayed at the gite for a few days en route to the Apls and on our return journey, the gite was very clean and beautifully presented, the owners were fantastic, couldn't do enough for us, but were not at all intrusive on our privacy, Mme even baked us regional delicasies which were wonderful. If you want a holiday of total relaxation this is the place for you.

We had a really great time in the Gite de la Cense! The Gite was in an amazing condition, all new and well maintained, and fully equipped! The hosts were so friendly and helpful as well. Nice, quite and clean stay!

Just returned from our week long holiday here and I can definitely say that we will be returning and staying for longer. The pictures do not do this place justice! Our daughter loved the gardens with swing, slides, trampoline and even a little tree house which you can sleep in. The gardens are sounded by fields which have sheep which our daughter enjoyed petting. It is very secluded in a little village but that just adds to the charm. It's around 10 minutes to the nearest town (Hirson) by car. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure that your holiday runs as smoothly as possible. Make sure to ask them about a little French restaurant they know in a nearby town around 10-15km away, the meals there are lovely and a great price at around 17€ for a three course meal. We will definitely be coming back here!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. Des propriétaires très accueillants, disponibles et qui font tout pour vous rendre le séjour agréable tout en restant discrets. Plein de petites attentions à l'arrivée et durant le séjour. Le logement témoigne aussi de cette attention: propreté, déco (déco très sympa dans la chambre enfant), porte-vue actualisé avec toutes les infos touristiques et festives, livres et jeux pour les petits comme pour les grands. L'environnement immédiat est très calme et les idées de sorties sont plus nombreuses qu'on imagine: Belgique bien sur mais en Thiérache également. Que de bons souvenirs!

This is a lovely gite: beautifully furnished, well thought-out and caters excellently for the needs of a young family. The garden is private and enclosed, with a sunny spot for an outdoor breakfast of croissants from the local boulangerie. The picturesque play area, with trampoline, slide and swings in the adjoining meadow was a great hit with our girls. The region is quiet but there are several pretty towns that are worth a visit and plenty of walks in the nearby woodland and countryside. The owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money, we are already planning a return visit.

Agréablement surpris à notre arrivée,gîte encore plus propre et mieux présenté que sur les photos du site. A 10mn de la frontière belge,nous avons eu la possibilité de visiter Bruxelles, de passer une journée au center parc,de déguster les produits locaux( Tarte au maroille, bière locale...). Intimité bien respectée,il y a tout ce qui faut pour se sentir chez soi. Idéal pour des vacances en famille.

The gite is exceptionally decorated and maintained, the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need on a self catering holiday and have designed and decorated the cottage to a very high standard. The cottage would suit someone who wanted a very quiet holiday as it is in a very rural location. Cannot fault the cottage or the owners at all, the location was maybe a little too quiet for us though.
