Serenity by the Sea
You will truly enjoy the serenity and beauty of this cottage perched on a cliff on the Bay of Fundy! This is my fourth stay, and I hope to be back again this fall and many years to come. The magnificent views, tides, beachcombing, island walks, wildlife, and peacefulness are just some of the highlights. Marilyn's hospitality is outstanding, and the cottage is equipped with everything you would need. I absolutely love it here as it feels like home!

Excellent oceanside vacation spot : )
We loved our second stay at Marilyn's beautiful cottage. It is such a peaceful place. The cottage itself is so charming, and well taken care of. We beach-combed every day, climbed on the rocks, spent time at New River Beach with its famous bay of Fundy tides. Marilyn let us know of a few local events happening, which we really appreciated. Just a perfect, restful vacation spot for nature-lovers.

Everything you want for a unique getaway
This seaside cottage is an absolute gem! It's so cozy but you have everything you need. Love the decor - very eclectic and unique. You feel like you're staying in a family guest house with lovely views of the forest and the Bay of Fundy. Lots of little hideaways outside to watch sunrise and sunset. Just loved it.

Wonderful seaside cottage
Once again we were very happy with our stay at this Charming cottage It is so well equipped with washer /dryer, Wi-Fi and smart TV. We were thrilled with the peaceful surroundings, beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the deck or secret look outs. I love watching the changing tides roll in and out...searching for sea glass on the beach, exploring Crow Island and the trail to the Lighthouse. We also got to enjoy the Annual Sand Castle sculpturing contest at New River beach, trip to St. Andrews., and Mckays blueberry farm for home made blueberry ice cream sundaes and pie. Thank you Marilyn sharing your wonderful cottage and can't wait to return to Chance Harbour next year to make more memories and have a fabulous vacation.

Wonderful!
We are a family of 5, and were visiting family in New Brunswick and thought it would be nice to combine the visit with some extra time by the ocean. The cottage is even better than the pictures depict. It truly has a completely stocked kitchen in terms of dishes, utensils and small appliances. We developed some great routines as we used the variety of decks and chairs for coffee and happy hour, finding our favourite spots depending on where the tide was, the weather, or the time of day. We enjoyed walking and hiking in the area, and beach combing at lower tides. We did not mind scooting into St. John when we needed anything, only 25 minutes away. Everyone was content, relaxed and amused… we would love to rent this cottage again!

A beautiful cozy cottage!
We loved staying at Seaside Cottage in Chance Harbour! Marilyn, our Host is wonderful! She knows a lot about the area, where to go & what to see! Beautiful scenery from the lookouts located on her property. Enjoyed our morning coffee & tea from each & Happy Hour too! Walk to the private beach, just beautiful! So relaxing! St. Andrews is a great touristy town by the sea to visit, not too far of a drive. Fundy Trail is a must! Along with the Fundy National Park. St. George has a lovely waterfall! You can watch the tide go in & out at the cottage. Also Crow Island just across from the cottage, a cut trail you can hike around & have a lunch, it’s a little walk across at low tide to Crow Island. Thank you Marilyn for a wonderful holiday! We recommend to stay here at Seaside cottage!

magical cottage
We had an amazing stay! Marilyn is a kind and generous host. The cottage itself is very charming, and then the setting is just incredible..the ocean right at your door, hummingbirds flying around, the sound of seals.. It was very peaceful. I was there with my 6 year old and he loved exploring the rocks. Lots of places close by for day trips, nature walks, great food etc. Strong recommend!

Seaside Cottage in Chance Harbour
We had the most amazing and relaxing vacation at this beautiful cottage. We were thrilled with the stunning sunsets and even saw a few sunrises at Hollow beach. Our host Marilyn was very thoughtful and had a list of exciting adventures from hiking trails, kayaking, trips into Saint John, and St. Andrew's by the Sea...whale watching was spectacular. The cottage was very well equipped and had Wi-Fi for my husband. I loved watching the tide roll in and out and enjoyed searching for sea glass. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this cottage. Just sitting on the deck with a good book ,watching the seals out on the rocks , or enjoying nature all around us at sunset was perfect.

Perfect vacation!
What a lovely place to visit after spending this past year at home! Seaside Cottage was truly a much needed place to unwind, and the beauty of its surroundings did not disappoint.
The cottage is exactly as pictured and as soon as you enter, it feels like home. It is cozy and comfortable and has all the modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi.
The location of the cottage is ideal and allows visitors to do as much, or as little, as they want. We took day trips into Saint John and St. Andrews but what we liked most of all was spending time at the cottage itself, exploring the sea floor at low tide (bring rubber boots), spotting wildlife, and looking out in awe at the Bay of Fundy. The views from the cottage are amazing and watching the tide go in and out was something we never tired of. Sea kayak rentals are nearby so we also rented kayaks for a few days. Lots of options!
We will definitely return to Chance Harbour. Thank you, Marilyn, for sharing your cottage with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

A great spot for ocean sights and sounds and quiet.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience. We loved the scenery, the wild critters and proximity to St. Andrews and New River Beach. There are also great little beaches and trails to explore right around the cabin. Marilyn was a gracious, informative and very helpful host who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. It was great that we were allowed to bring our little non-shedding dog.The only quibble was the laundry situation. The washing machine was fixed 3 days into our stay so that was good. Other than that, I would recommend that you stay there.
