Monkey Beach House is located within the Tamani at Galu Beach property. It is only 60 metres from the beach and has stunning views of the Indian Ocean. There is a shared swimming pool right in front of the house - halfway between the house and the beach. There is also a separate toddlers pool for younger children (aged 3 – 6yrs).
The five-bedroom tropical home, adorned in contemporary Swahili architecture, offers a wide choice of indoor and outdoor lounging and dining spaces to make your holiday stay comfortable.

Perfect for families (or anyone really!)
I cannot say enough positive things about Monkey House. Our chef, Adbdalla was fantastic! We rarely went out to eat because the food he cooked was so delicious that there was really no need to except for the occasional change of scenery. We stayed for 6 nights and wish we had stayed longer. We were multi-generational family, young and old. The house was spacious, easy access to the pool and ocean were key. There are hotels in the area and thus so many options for various daily activities available (kite surfing, glass bottom boat, snorkeling, scuba, massage). Would highly recommend!

Amazing Beach Getaway!!!!
My stay at Monkey Beach House was amazing. The beach was extremely close to the house and we made great use of the pool out back. The staff was extremely professional and helpful, and the chef was amazing. He cooked our group three meals a day and they were all delicious. There are a ton of activities in the surrounding area and everyone in our group was able to find activities that suited their specific interests. As others have mentioned, I recommend that you bring some mosquito repellant and keep an eye on the monkeys (they are pesky and will steal food if they can get it). Overall, our stay was amazing and we will be back!!

50th Anniversary
Monkey Beach House was just what we needed to celebrate our 50th anniversary with children and grandchildren. A lovely time for all ages!

Paradise next to the beach
This place is wonderful. Truly a paradise! Regardless if you just want to swim, eat and sleep, or if you want to spend your days being active, this is the place for you.
We (a family of 10) spent about a week and a half in this great house next to the beach. We all had different interests. Some of us simply wanted to spend our time doing nothing, while others wanted a bit more action. All of us enjoyed ourselves. For those wanting some activities, you can do anything from kite surfing or snorkeling to safaris of various kinds.
There are plenty of great restaurants nearby but why go anywhere when you can have fantastic food served by your own professional chef? The food we were served (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was delicious. We ended up eating out only once. It was a great restaurant in every way but we were all surprised to find that none of us were particularly impressed. "Our" chef was better.
In fact, the staff at Monkey Beach House were ALL very friendly, helpful and professional. They did their best to ensure that we were all happy and satisfied with our stay.
If you go - and I strongly recommend that you do - I recommend that you bring some mosquito repellant and keep an eye on the monkeys - they take any opportunity they can to steal food from the kitchen.
All-in-all - many thanks to Magdalena and the staff at MBH for making our stay perfect!

Awesome stay in heavenly place
We have spent a fantastic Xmas family stay, thanks to the fantastic villa, which has a paradisiacal surround, but above all thanks to divine cooking of chef Abdalla , and exceptional care provided by Ann the housekeeper.
@ Abdalla and Ann, thank you very much! You both have made our stay a magic moment in the middle of this troubled pandemic period. You have welcome us like family and have enriched every single day with your delicious food and toughtful attentions so that leaving you has been a real pain ;-) WE hope to see you soon and revisit asap this magic place!

Beautiful escape
Our stay at monkey Beach House was one for the books. The pictures don't do the place justice. All the rooms and spaces were beautiful and fully equipped. The chef Abdalla made sure we were full every single meal with different dishes, and Ann the housekeeper ensured Our rooms were tidy and clean. My baby got a lively cot that served the purpose. I pray I'll be back soon to experience the ocean view from the house and poolside. Thankyou.

Amazing location!
This house surpassed our expectations. We booked it for 7 people and we were all comfortable. The staff were friendly not to mention the amazing chef Abdalla who made delicious meals each day.
The beach is right there and the house overall was beautiful. Would definitely come back!

I loved , loved, loved my stay!
My friends and I couldn't have asked for a better house. Honestly. We had a 6 month old who also had an equally good time!
The proximity to all the beach activities was paramount...Also, the sunrise was just THERE 😍!

Words & pictures can't describe this paradise
WOW, what a view as we woke up in the upper room and felt like we were in the treetops looking at the turquoise waters of Galu Beach. The views from the front bedroom, the mid eating area and even the lower porch are breathtaking. I don't know how many times we just caught ourselves staring at the gorgeous site before us. Even though the compound is shared with other homes, the location is perfect and feels like you're own private getaway.
The house itself is amazing with so much space on every level. Its great to have the lower kitchen for coming in from beach or pool to make snacks and drinks. All the bedrooms are spacious good oversize bathrooms. A couple bits of info: #1 If you find that your shower water has gone cold there is a switch at lower kitchen that can easy get turned off by mistake. Just cut it back on and hot water returns. #2 Make sure to lock cabinets every night as its not called Monkey Beach House for no reason. We had a couple fun mornings chasing away the monkeys. Don't worry they're not aggressive just curious and hungry. Its nice that the two upper rooms have A/C as they can get warmer being up high, but the mid and lower rooms always stayed pretty cool. And finally one of our favorite parts was Abdalla the chef. What a treat as everyday he bought the seafood and prepared it to our delight. He was also great with the kids and has a wonderful laugh. The housekeeper Anne was very friendly and keep the house well maintained.
If you like water sports then within walking distance is: to the left there is H2O Extreme where you can rent boards (yes when tide is right you can bodyboard and yes even surf). They also have kite surfing, paddle boards, etc. The to the right you can rent wave runners and more. Another treat is the Salty Squint resort to the left (same place as H2O) has really good ice cream and desserts. I also recommend using the excursion guide that the house recommends as he's really nice and they are many conmen on the beach, so be careful. Lastly, there is a well equipped supermarket only a five minute ride away in a Tuk_Tuk which is only $1 USD there and about $2 USD on return with food items.
Overall we highly recommend this piece of paradise. We look forward to hopefully retuning one day and once again monkeying around in the Monkey Beach House. ENOY!

Fantastic beach house at Diani
Another great stay at Monkey Beach House. Gorgeous property that fronts the pool and the beach. Abdalla, the chef, is a superstar. The best we’ve had anywhere - his fish curry and prawn pasta are our favorites. He is low key, friendly, professional and got us good deals on the fresh seafood we ordered through him.
