Little peace of heaven!
Another super stay at Sanaig Cottage, Kilchoman. Our third year in a row, homely well appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay at hand! A short walk to the stunning beach at machair bay or to the kilchoman distillery! Nice and isolated, very quiet and peaceful setting. Perfect for a couples getaway! See you again next year!

Problemlos , sauber , ruhig
Problemlose Abwicklung , schönes sauberes und ruhig gelegenes Haus . Gut eingerichtete Küche , schönes Wohnzimmer mit offenem Kamin wo man Abends gemütlich einen Whisky geniessen kann . Alles in allem , einfach Klasse . Der
Strand Machrie Bay sowie die Destillerie Kilchoman sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar .

Idyllic
Well equipped cottage which was spotlessly clean.
Washing machine and drying facilities available.
(Washing up liquid, kitchen towel, kitchen foil etc included - this is fab!)
Electricity all included in booking price. Fire was set on our arrival - but we didn’t need this.
The cottage is very remote - quite a drive to get there, but very close to one of the best beaches in Islay. (Big waves. Not suitable for swimming, but great for the kids to play in)
Wi-Fi was good for most of week, but the signal did go down on the island (not just the cottage).
Satellite tv, games and books all available.
If you are looking for a relaxing chill out week, this is totally suitable. We will definitely return!

Excellent Location
Lovely cottage, really well equipped, stunning location. Can highly recommend for a fabulous stay on Islay. WiFi didn’t work, but 4G picked up close to cottage. Will definitely return!

Lovely location and friendly owner
Well equipped cottage in a beautiful part of Islay with plenty of short scenic walks nearby. Local people very friendly. Good parking and a laundry room just a couple of minutes walk away. Well heated. Plenty of tourist information provided although not many facilities open at the time of our visit. Owner seemed genuinely interested in what we thought of it. Quite a drive to reach any form of shopping or places to drink, but the scenery made it worthwhile. Would recommend the Loch Indaal hotel as a place to have a drink and the Fish Kitchen in which to eat. If we go back to Islay again then we would certainly consider booking of these cottages.

Love the veiws
Nice and comfortable cottage the quitment was excellant the bird life is just amazing. Islay island the people are very freindly. The people will always help and give us excellant advice. Had an amazing week.

everything we needed
fantastic cottage in perfect location, well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, hoping to return next year. Morven was so helpful when booking and having to change everything when lockdown came, much prefer being able to speak to someone directly!

A totally fantastic getaway
Stunning location. Handy for all parts of the Island (Islay is not very big!).
Well kept cottage with all amenities to easily self cater (ideal during semi lock down!)
Islay itself has exceeded all expectations - so much wildlife, great coastal and hill walks, trips to Jura, and obviously whiskey.
Thanks for the great rental.

Amazing cottage with everything you need. Views are superb and the most gorgeous beach only minutes away by car - you can walk too. Cannot wait to return
