Big birthday weekend
We recently stayed at the Chateau for a big birthday celebration and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The chateau itself is absolutely stunning and has everything you could possibly need to host an event with friends and family. All of the bedrooms are a fantastic standard and the living spaces all have a unique atmosphere. A huge thank you to the hosts for all their hard work in making our stay what it was! Would highly recommend, 5*

Weekend stay
Wonderful place for a gathering - for whatever reason! Went with a collection of friends for an adults only weekend away and loved every element. The Chateau provides constant delightful surprises and is decorated stunningly. The gardens and local area provide plenty of walks and restaurants and there is lots of activity 'kit' from bikes to tennis for the more active members! SO easy to get to - a real find for a special event or get away.

The best family holiday you could wish for
Our huge family had the most spectacular holiday living in luxury with wonderful bedrooms and fabulous facilities inside and out. Better than we could have imagined. The pool was a centre piece (a great addition) but we used the whole place, dining in the kitchen, indoor dining room and also outdoor converted stables (I can imagine that being a great wedding reception space). We have made the best memories there and need to come back one day.

Golden Wedding Celebration
Beyond Amazing is this Chateau
11 great Bedrooms some with a Shower some with a bath & Shower .
So many different sizes & designs .
Fabulous games room on the top floor , Mini tennis in the Stables with a separate Bar & Toilets huge undercover room with a Gas BBQ .
Outside heated swimming Pool
Beautiful Dining room , 2 lounges ,cinema room , library.
25 of us Stayed ages ranging from 11 to Over 70 , for a long weekend, 2 Couples stayed in the Cottage , very nice as well.
Amanda the Owner is very helpful , our Son had many emails to her with a few questions, not a problem.She recommended Dinedulge amongst other Chefs to cater for our Black tie Dinner for the night of our Anniversary, everyone enjoyed the Dinner very much , we chose Dinedulge they have serval menus of different Taste & prices .
St Omer is about a Quarter of an hour away & there is a local Auchan & an Aldi close by.
The kitchen is equipped with 2 dishwashers every appliance you might need to self Cater & a full cupboard of Spices etc & Toiletries in case you have forgotten something.
It’s also Close to the euro tunnel which is handy for guest coming a long way in England .
We would love to stay again ,

Incredibly special wedding venue
We can’t get over what an incredible wedding we had at Chateau D’Hallines. The owners, Amanda and Dan, have created a stunning canvas on which to paint your perfect wedding.
It felt grand, special yet extremely private and intimate. For a chateau this large, it still held a homely feel which was very important to us.
Amanda and Dan were perfectly attentive; in no way intrusive but there if and when we needed them. They would go the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed, and autonomously did the little jobs we might have forgotten to do, without even having to ask. It really felt like they had a vested interest to give us the best weekend possible.
On a logistical level, the chateau and the grounds are very well equipped for a large number of guests; in terms of a wedding venue, it really has everything there that you could need, and has been so well thought-out. The stables and bar area are just such marvellous spaces for entertaining - and there’s so many ‘extras’ such as the bikes, games, and more.
It may only have been our home for a few days, yet we’ll hold Amanda, Dan and the chateau close to our hearts for many years to come.

Fabulous chateau in stunning grounds!!
We recently hosted a special birthday at the Chateau and had a really really wonderful week - I honestly couldn’t think of a better location. The venue was perfect; the bedrooms are stylish and spacious and prepared to a high standard, with loads of space and activities for kids on the top floor; and the downstairs is amazing with a huge kitchen, enormous dining room and two cosy sitting rooms where we assembled round the fire after dinner for more drinks and chat. The grounds are stunning, with a beautiful lawn and charming river with secluded tennis court & campfire and the stable block is the perfect place for afternoon drinks or bbq. We were particularly pleased that we'd booked serving staff from the local village, who were lovely and came in to help made it relaxing, as they took care of all our cooking and cleaning, which makes a big difference. And we had fun exploring the local towns and villages, especially St Omer market on a Saturday morning. Finally the week got off to a great start thanks to Dan's carefully prepared Treasure Hunt! All our guests commented how much they enjoyed it. And it seems a swimming pool will soon be finished, which will make it really great. And to top it all Amanda and Dan are incredibly helpful and keen to ensure the stay is perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend the Chateau!

Absolutely Superb!
We’ve just back from our 2nd amazing visit to Château d’Hallines, we decided we just had to go back to celebrate my husband’s 60th. The house is stunning inside and out. As a group, we have stayed in many large French houses over the last 25 years and Château d’Hallines is without doubt, the best, and its location makes travelling easy, with lots to see and do nearby.
I booked the Château treasure hunt for the afternoon of our party, followed by a Hawaiian BBQ. The tables were set up in the courtyard between the house and the stables and it was magical - The entire day was about fun and laughter.
The treasure hunt was fun, and Alain who hosted it for us was extremely helpful. We ran around the Château and grounds laughing like kids, all coming together at the end to solve the clues and reveal where the treasure was hiding. We had the best fun with it and enjoyed drinking and eating the treasure!
The weather was fantastic and wild swimming in the River Aa was a Godsend, we also had a paddle board and 2 canoes! We had lovely days lazing in the garden, some of us playing tennis, as well as fun on the beaches at Wissant and Le Touquet.
Thanks Amanda and Dan for keeping the château to such a high standard - it’s incredible - and for being so helpful upon our arrival. We all loved experiencing the château in the summer as well as our last trip in the winter. Just a wonderful and relaxing time for us all. Our next visit is already in discussion!

Dream wedding venue
My husband and I got married at the Chateau d'Halllines this July, after a long 3 years of planning & covid delays. Amanda and Dan were absolutely amazing from start to finish - they were so understanding & accommodating when we needed to make changes. They kept in regular contact but also gave us the freedom to plan the wedding we wanted. Dan spent the days before making sure the château was in top top condition and on the day, Amanda was like a fairy godmother ninja making sure everything ran smoothly! The chateau is even more stunning in real life with everything you could possibly think of. I think it will be very busy next summer as nearly all our guests said they wanted to go back fro their holidays! We are so glad we stuck with it as it is the wedding venue of dreams :-)

Even better than it looks!
We stayed in the chateau for a week in July, celebrating a friend`s 60th birthday. The trip had had to be postponed a couple of times due to Covid, but the owner, Amanda, showed a lot of flexibility and helped us find our eventual new dates.
We had seen the promotional video and heard from friends who had previously visited, but we were not prepared for just how wonderful the place was. All the comfortable bedrooms were tastefully-decorated and furnished to a high standard. The communal living areas were sumptuous, and the huge, modern kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, with everything we could need for catering for our group of 23.
Outside, the grounds were very well kept, with lawns and ancient trees for welcome shade, plus a river running through, which was a welcome source of fun and refreshment. We also loved the fire pit, and many of us enjoyed a game of tennis. The stables and bar were great for eating and entertaining. We ate outside most of the time, and we had everything we needed, including a huge barbecue and drinks fridge.
One afternoon, we had a treasure hunt, which was organised by the owner. This was a lot of fun, and we got to see all the previously undiscovered nooks and crannies of the house and grounds, such as the amazing trampoline room on the top floor!
The owners have lovingly restored the chateau to its former glory, and are very keen to ensure that their guests want for nothing. I would highly recommend a holiday there, and very much hope to go back one day!

Even better second time around
This is the second time our party stayed at the chateau. We had been in the winter of 2019 for a special occasion and had a magical stay. This time, the summer heat beckoned and we were enthralled by the grounds and long bike rides. The rooms are so big and airy that even outside temperatures of 30 degrees plus didn't have too much effect. Even though we were a party of 20+ we never felt cramped or on top of each other as the property is so huge and well equipped, there's always somewhere to hide and relax if that's your thing. The tennis court is well kept and very close to the house and the addition of a fire pit in the woods was a wonderful way to end an evening. For the more adventurous there's wild water swimming in the river, but the rumour of a swimming pool perhaps coming soon would be the cherry on top. The treasure hunt was very well organised and enormous fun, it really brought out the competitive spirit in our party. Don't hesitate to book the chateau if you are a group of people who get along and want to have an experience you'll talk about for years to come. We loved it. A huge thank you to Amanda for all her help and attention to our needs during our stay, a wonderful host.
